For by grace are ye saved through
faith; and that not of yourselves: it is th gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ
Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we
should walk in them.
Ephesians 2: 8-10 (KJV)

Salvation
is a gift from God. He sees our every need and is waiting for us
to call on him to help us. God sent His Son Jesus Christ to earth
to die for our sins. And through Christ we have redemption from
sin and death.
Receiving
salvation is the greatest gift that we can ever receive. When Jesus
rose from the grave and later prepared to ascend up into heaven,
he promised us that he would send us a "comforter";
the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps us travel down this long,
lonely road. When we received Christ into our hearts, we became
a new creature. Our old life passed away and everything became new.
The
bible tells us in Romans 12:1-2, I beseech
you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present
your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which
is your reasonable service.
And
be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing
of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable,
and perfect, will of God.
Many
people can testify to what God and His Son Jesus Christ has done
for them. Would you like to receive salvation today?

"I
accepted Christ as my personal Savior at the age of 34 on January
29, 1992."
"My
life before receiving Christ was just one empty episode after another.
I desired the things that I considered a normal person should have;
money, a good wife, a home, and a great job. But, without having
the right guide those things seemed to be unattainable. I continually
associated with people who I thought were cool and had it going
on. What I soon found out was that they didn't have a clue either.
Sure they were popular and had women, but behind all that I saw
that they too were not happy either. Soon drugs and alcohol entered
the picture. I never considered myself an addict, but I was never
able to stop using them. I soon settled into the habit of staying
home, watching television, and drinking a six-pack of beer all by
myself. I became really lonely for love and wondered if there was
something better to life than taking drugs, going to the clubs,
drinking, and having evil thoughts. I tried to be a good person
because that was how my parents raised me. I always respected my
elders, and never wanted to do something that would embarrass my
parents. So I did my bad deeds during the night. It never crossed
my mind that God was watching my actions. I stayed away from church
and it never crossed my mind to attend one; even after I had been
invited."
"One
day my parents came to Austin, Texas to visit me. This was not the
first time they had visited me, but this time they told me about
a church that our cousin pastored. The name of the Church was New
Covenant Church. The pastor was Brother Roland James Allen. Brother
Allen was overjoyed to hear from them and invited us all over to
his home for a visit. During the visit, several members of the church
witnessed Christ to me and of the salvation they had received. They
also told me of the clean life Brother Allen lived before them.
When I was young I had heard about people being saved, but I never
received this great gift so I never persued it. Also, this was the
first time I had heard someone call their minister a "Real
Man of God" living a clean and holy life. After meeting Brother
Allen for the first time I felt there was something different about
him. There was a clean and caring spirit about him."
"I attended
a couple of services at his home and at the church. I desparetly
wanted to have a private meeting with him. At the time my major
concern was getting out of debt. That's what I thought was most
important to getting my life back on track; or should I say on track
for the first time? Brother Allen listened to me and immediately
told me that I needed to give my life to Christ. I told him "yes
sir". That night, Wednesday, January 29, 1992, I went up to
the altar and repented of all my nasty sins and accepted Jesus Christ
into my heart."
"My
life was immediately changed. The desire to use drugs, drink alcohol,
run the streets, and think evil left me. I am a new creature. It
feels great to have all my sins lifted from me. I thank the Lord
everyday for his goodness and mercy. I have been truly blessed.
God also gave me a wonderful wife, beautiful home, and great job.
The desires of my heart were granted through the wonderful grace
of God and His Son Jesus Christ. I am truly glad that I listened,
and obeyed God's instruction through a Real Man of God."
To
God Be The Glory!
